Warrior Kid Challenge

Real skills. Real challenge. Kids 7 to 17.

Kids learn fire, first aid, knots, shelter and more from our exhibitors on Friday and Saturday, then put it all to the test with kids their own age on Sunday.

How it works

Three days, one challenge

Every Warrior Kid gets a lanyard and punch card at check-in. The punch card is their passport around the Gathering: the more Skill Stops they visit, the more bonus points they carry into Sunday.

FRIDAY & SATURDAY

Visit the Skill Stops

Look for booths flying a blaze-orange Warrior Kid flag. Each one teaches a quick skill, and some teach 30-minute kids' classes.

ALL WEEKEND

Get your card punched

Learn the skill, get a punch. Every punch is worth bonus points on Sunday, and it's a great excuse to meet the makers.

SUNDAY

Take the challenge

Kids rotate through timed skill stations with their age group, scored on technique, safety and attitude. Top score in each group wins.

Friday & Saturday

The Skill Stops

Each stop is an exhibitor booth. Some skills have more than one stop, so kids can learn from different teachers.

Look for the blaze-orange flagEvery Skill Stop flies the same blaze-orange Warrior Kid flag on a tall pole, so kids can spot it from across the exhibitor area. Skill Stops are also flagged on the Waypoint map.
